Pregnant Woman Attack
“On Thursday 10 July 2008, a heavily pregnant woman was sexually assaulted in her own home. At approximately 9am she was awoken by a loud bang and looked up to find a man in her bedroom who immediately asked, ‘Where’s Peter? He owes me £500 for cocaine.’ She replied that she didn’t know anyone called Peter or anything about any cocaine. The man became increasingly agitated and dragged the woman through to the living room. He made her get on her knees while he searched the room. Strangely he asked her about her photos and her partner. Taking advantage of a moment when he was distracted the woman ran for the stairs screaming for help but half way down she was grabbed from behind and dragged back up by her hair. The man got her back on her knees in the room, put socks on each hand and sexually assaulted her. Bizarrely, he then asked her to make him a cup of coffee and asked her to feed him with it. It was at this point the man pulled back his jacket to reveal a knife. Certain he was now going to kill her, the woman ran again. This time she reached the street and ran to safety in the nearest shop. Police are linking this attack to a second incident that occurred approximately two weeks later in the area.” — BBC (UK)

Usually pregnant women bring out the chivalry in the people around them. Men open doors, women offer their seats on buses and trains, grandparents smile happily and make chitchat about whether the expectant mother hopes for a boy or a girl. (Does any parent ever hope for a hermaphrodite?) This chivalry seemingly represents the noblest of human qualities, a solicitude toward children, babies, mothers, and the perpetuation of the species. When you hold the door for a pregnant woman, it’s like saying, “Yes, I want the human race to carry on. I believe in life…”
For this reason, it’s especially unsettling when a pregnant woman is attacked. It’s one thing to get off to “prego porn” or to find pregnant women arousing. It’s another thing to assault a pregnant woman, thereby jeopardizing not only her but her baby’s welfare. Perhaps there is no purer expression of nihilism. It’s like saying, “No, I don’t believe in life. Fuck you and your unborn child. I don’t want the human race to carry on…” Doubtless this is why the Manson murders — and particularly that of the very pregnant Sharon Tate — still resonate so strongly with people. It wasn’t just a life that was taken. It was a deeply disturbing proclamation about the valuelessness of life itself.
Should the human race carry on? That’s debatable.
It was me who sent it, in case you didnt get it from my gmail account, lol.
The thing that really struck me, was the “cocaine up the arse” comment. It made me laugh for weeks, and still is.
The woman should have thrown the coffee over him. When he said “feed me”, and when she got close enough, she should have thrown the coffee in his eyes, and made her escape.
i hope she and her baby are ok now.
i have a hatred of rapists that boarders on the insane, i would strap this fellow down and slowly cut of his meaty man bits with a very dull rusty razor then “feed him”.
i would feed his cut off bits to him.
is what i meant.
Well as a matter of fact, on the night that BBC Crimewatch showed this reconstruction, the presenter, Kirsty Young, stated that the woman had gone into labour 2 hours before the show started or some shit like that. She promised to keep people updated during the show, but didn’t do it.
On a side note, I’ve thought for ages that the world’d be a better (more ecumenical) place if everyone was a hermaphrodite. It’d take some getting used to for us who grew up as one sex or the other, but I think that the end result’d be worth it.
