Most right wing rhetoric is simply a way of placating the fundie base. That said, the name was a bit much don't you think? I mean, waving a red flag like that was guaranteed to get lots of neo-fascists attention, which I assume was the real purpose of calling it that. Strikes me that the paper is right about one thing, if they had called it Camp Happy it would have opened with no problems. Don't confuse conservative with libertarian. Conservative means "we'll let you tell everybody else what to do as long as we get to steal all we want and go to Europe where you can't see us to have our fun" ala the Bush babes. They automatically accept the right of the government to legislate morality "for the good of commerce".
