Man Accused In Sex Electrocution Of Wife
“A woman died during a night of ‘bizarre sex’ in which her husband used an electrical cord to stimulate her, but ended up electrocuting her, police said.
Kirsten Taylor, 29, was found unconscious Wednesday night at the couple’s Lower Windsor Twp. home. She was taken to York Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. At first, Toby Taylor said his wife was shocked by a hair dryer, according to a police affidavit. But when burns were found on her body, police said Taylor told them he had clipped an electrical cord to his wife and plugged it into a power strip, which he then turned on and off. He told authorities the couple had used the technique before. Taylor, 37, was jailed Thursday in lieu of $100,000 bail on involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment charges. He did not have a lawyer at his arraignment and no lawyer had been entered in his court file as of Friday. York County Coroner Barry Bloss called it a case of ‘bizarre sex.’ ‘I have never seen anything like this,’ Bloss said. ‘Even if you did it before, you have to know you could kill someone.’ The township police chief, David Sterner, said the jolt of electricity is believed to have triggered a heart attack in the woman.” — Midstate News (US)

Here is a picture of Mr. Taylor. The Smoking Gun has the Probable Cause Affidavit, which spells out a little more clearly what “bizarre sex” the couple was engaged in:
Toby said to myself and Detective McBride that he had lied to me at the house and that he and his wife are into weird sexual behaviors. He said that they hook up clips to his wifes nipples and he plugs the cord into a electric strip and he shocks her… Kirsten then went into the computer room and stripped her clothes and hooked herself up to the electric nipple clip and shocked herself. Toby said that he then picked up the electric strip and shocked Kirsten 3 or 4 more times. He said that the last time she was on her knees and while she was being electrocuted she fell over onto her face. Toby at first thought she was joking so he rolled her over but she remained unconscious. She was to be breathing at this time so Toby then dressed her and proceeded to carry her towrds the door to take her to the hospital. Kirsten then began rapid shallow respirations and then stopped breathing…. Toby advised that he and Kirsten have been engaging in electric shock sex and other types of extreme bondage sex for about 2 years. Toby said that this evening he had put a piece of electric tape over Kirstens mouth while he was shocking her.
As the internet has continued what the sexual revolution of a few decades ago started, many forms of fetishistic behavior have become more and more popular. So too with “electrosex.” Practitioners have transformed the Violet Wand into a sex toy. There is a blog dedicated to eletrosex. And of course there are places to buy gear and learn about shocking your way to climax. The thing you have to remember, though, is that it can be dangerous to send an electrical current through the medium of the human body. Just ask the guys who’ve died by autoerotic electrocution.
In the case of the Taylors — presuming Mr. Taylor is telling the truth — the couple had been experimenting with electrosex for years. Ms. Taylor initiated her final sex act by putting the electrodes on her own body and giving herself a shock. It opens up a very ambiguous area of morality. To what extent is Mr. Taylor responsible for his wife’s demise? Was it manslaughter? Or was it a tragic accident? If a couple is fucking like mad and one of them has a heart attack, authorities wouldn’t file criminal charges. So if a couple is experimenting with a fetish behavior and one of them has a heart attack, are criminal charges in order?
Well, I’m guessing the electric voltage must be different in America then it is here in the UK, cos over here if you cut an electric cable and touch the wires it would blow you half way across the room!
Also i strongly think that it could well have been murder. Can we have a sweep stake on whether we think he’ll get done for murder or not?
Chad, yes, there is a voltage difference between the UK and the US, 220 versus 110 volts, so what is typically a moderate shock in the US could indeed be fatal in the UK. The lady in question apparently expired because of a heart ailment.
This is really a tough one. Is there any trace that repeated shocks leave on a body that would indicate whether this couple were repeat pervs? Or did this guy come up with somthing that he thinks will get him out of murder?
While we’re at it, can anybody else sense writers of the endless CSI type shows rushing to get this on to the air first?
All in all, if this couple did do this repeatedly, to me it’s just another example of natural selection in action. Seems to me, and admittedly this isn’t one of my kinks, that if you like to play with electricity, you should stick with batteries.
I want to put an electrical cord deep inside my urethra and see how long I can go.
Darwin Award, anybody?
