Maryland Schools to Teach Anal Sex and Transgenderism as Normal
“A public school district’s program promoting anal sex, homosexuality, bisexuality, and transvestitism as normal sexual variations was recently approved by the Maryland State Board of Education despite strenuous opposition from several pro-family groups. Montgomery County Public School’s controversial sexuality curriculum for eighth and tenth grade students is the result of pressure by homosexual advocacy groups. In response, the Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that it will assist the pro-family groups in their appeal of the Education Board’s decision to the Montgomery County Circuit Court… The pro-family groups oppose the sex program on several grounds: (1) it teaches students that homosexuality is ‘innate,’ which is an unproven theory; (2) it teaches students that anal sex is just another sexual option without warning students of the increased HIV/AIDS risk of anal sex, even with a condom; (3) it labels as ‘homophobic’ children who hold traditional religious or moral beliefs about homosexuality; and (4) it teaches students that transgenderism is just another ’sexual orientation,’ even though transgenderism has been classified as a mental disorder.” — LifeSite.net (US)

When you first read that pro-family groups oppose this program, you think it’s one of those ho-hum stories. Of course pro-family groups oppose this sodomistical propaganda! Then when you read their actual reasons, their opposition doesn’t seem so hysterical. But as is usually the case with these situations, their “reasonable” objections conceal a secret agenda.
1. Claim: It is not a fact that homosexuality is “innate.” Secret agenda: The members of these pro-family groups can’t accept that they’ll have to be straight forever.
2. Claim: The program doesn’t warn of the risks of anal sex. Secret agenda: These pro-family groups don’t want kids having anal sex because they prefer that the kids have unwanted teen pregnancies.
3. Claim: Kids with “traditional or moral beliefs about homosexuality” shouldn’t be labelled “homophobic.” Secret agenda: The pro-family groups don’t want you to think the Bible is homophobic just because it says gays are “backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful.  They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God’s death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway.  And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.” God’s death penalty? That’s not homophobic. It’s just God — who is described elsewhere in the Bible as one angry motherfucker — being God.
4. Claim: Transgenderism is not a sexual orientation but a mental disorder. Secret agenda: The pro-family groups do not want transgender people with biological ambiguities to stop paying for mental health services. After all, what would all the out-of-work therapists and shrinks do? Analyze the idiots who go around forcing their normality on other people?
The really contentious thing here, I find, is the use of the word ‘promote’.
In the vast majority of educational cases, people are by and large accepting of the fact that ‘teaching about’ something is not the same as ‘promoting’ something.
Even in Religious Education classes, most non-fundamentalist (and I’ll bet a lot of parents claiming the above are non-fundamentalist, even self-identified liberal) religious and non-religious people are quite happy for kids to be taught about other religions than their own, without this being seen as ‘promoting’ the beliefs of that religion, or proselytising.
Why then, whenever issues of sexual health and sexuality are raised, is it immediately seen as ‘promoting’ a particular sexual behaviour, activity or ‘lifestyle’ (awful term)? This despite decades of research showing that better sex education leads to more responsible, safer sexual behaviour.
Yup, I’m still sore about Section 28.
…
p.s. This is the only blog I comment on in this depth – and I read a lot.
p.p.s. (The Christian) God certainly is “one angry motherfucker”.
Ha ha…Hey asshole! get outta my chair, in this class I want to sit up front and make sure I don’t get a failing grade.

Here Here *toasts*
I try to keep an open mind about things in general, but I can’t help detesting transsexual men who masquerade as actual women. They are committing (or attempting) fraud on a very personal level. I don’t care about the ones that are honest about what they are, but the pretenders are liars and frauds and there should be serious legal repercussions for men who attempt that kind of deception, despite how laughably obvious it usually ends up being.
as long as the teachers in these sex classes point out the added risks of anal sex and the proper use of condoms and the importance of using the pill then i don’t have a problem with these revised add on’s.
i believe a good education in the use of contraceptives is far better than the possible abortion. ( i’m not against abortion, i just think it’s better to be safe than sorry).
and education on the on issues such as gays and transgendered people may help to bring about more tolerance.

You win. Here, have an internets. :)
