Teens Charged for Butt Slaps
“Two 13-year-old Oregon boys are facing serious sex charges for allegedly slapping female classmates’ bottoms as a form of horseplay. Police arrested [teen 1] and [teen 2] of McMinnville and if convicted could be permanently marked as sex offenders, The Portland Oregonian said Sunday. The teens also could spend as long as 10 years in juvenile detention if found guilty. While the boys’ parents have opposed such a harsh penalty, McMinnville District Aattorney Bradley Berry said such youthful acts could have longstanding consequences for the alleged victims. These cases are devastating to children, he said. They are life-altering cases. Interviews with the boys’ fellow students found other teens were engaging in similar behavior at the time and two of the female victims have since recanted their statements.” — ABC Action News (US)

The thing that is infuriating about this brouhaha is the liberal backlash. Why, people are up in arms that these young men should face sex abuse charges for some “mere” spanking. And why shouldn’t they face such charges? Gosh, everybody knows that a teen can’t set his own limits. Let him drink communion wine today, tomorrow he’ll be an alcoholic. Let him play pinochle today, tomorrow he’ll be running away to Vegas. Let him slap a young girl’s butt today, tomorrow he’ll be shoving her into a locker and deflowering her with his teen meat.
Maybe it’s time to ratchet up the punishments. You know, let’s get tough on crime. No more should these teenage hooligans be let off with mere sex abuse charges for slapping some ass. They should have their hands cut off instead. Or here is an idea. Let’s just lock up kids from the get-go. Why wait until after they’ve made trouble to send them to the juvenile detention center? If you lock them up before, society will run as smoothly as a well-lubed dildo. You can take these potential sources of crime straight from hospital nurseries and dump them into prison cells, where they can be raised by convicts and inmates. That would scare them straight — and just think how much money harrassed parents would save by replacing their nannies and au pairs with dollar-a-day state workers, i.e. murderers and thieves.
Sounds like a plan, right? Or at least it must sound like a plan to anyone who would punish teen hijinks with the full weight of the law.

I hate a world that punishes innocent young adults for something that can’t even be considered violent and yet there are “normal, upstanding members of society” who do much worse and are never punished.
The world would be a better place if there was no more religon, no more politics and no more narrow minded people.
What’s scary is how close that is to reality.
The way Guliani “cleaned up” New York was by punishing people for jay walking, litering, broken windows, etc. to the fullest extent of the law and treating them like criminals.
The theory was if you jay-walk today then you’re going to run a red light tomorrow, so we should punish you before you have the opportunity to run the red light.

Thankfully there was not a sex offender registry in the late 70s early 80s, or everyone i know would be on it.
Normal adolescent behavior is now a sex crime.

So, those teenagers slapped some girls’ butts. I’m not saying what they did was right, but I am not, fuckin’ definitely not saying they should be marked as sex offenders! I, very recently read an article about juveniles being marked as sex offenders. They lead horribly sad lives! They are ostracized and physically threatened at school, and they have a hard time getting work later! People do all kinds of crazy shit in junior high school! Those teenagers, at the most, should get suspended, or detention. Were these girls really traumatized by all of this? I think, I am 99% sure that the boys will be WAY more traumatized by being on the sex offender registry, than those girls by the incident.
Yes, I do think, as Krovas said, that this country is getting neurotic. You have all these lawyers making up these crazy laws. Now, as furpos says, adolescence is becoming a crime. These lawyers are getting fat off the land making all of these crazy laws that are good for them! These boys, although no angels, certainly don’t deserve the same fuckin’ reputation as some filthy scuzzy forty-five year old pedofile! Shirly Phelps, not everybody in this country is a sex offender, and not all of these “sex offenders” are on the same level. Do you even care about the lives of these boys? Do you even, in another post, care about the two year old boy that got sodomized by the pit bull?! Get off you high horse!!!!
