Happy 4th Birthday, PervScan
This month marks PervScan’s 4th birthday. You may recall that last year PervScan contemplated calling it quits but instead came back from a brief vacation with a renewed sense of purpose. Generally speaking the site has had a good year. There have been some interesting stories, and the community here has continued to be vibrant. PervScan thanks you all for that and would like to mention in particular the continuing contributions of IntoTheWind and LadyCara (who have posted the most) and Furpo (who has submitted the most links). By way of reward, if any of the three of you would like a free copy of one of Supervert’s books, send an email and it’s yours.
Looking forward, PervScan is beginning to develop a plan for the future of the site. There will be yet another redesign, hopefully a nicer one than the current drab skin (which was implemented in a moment of self-disgust with the previous one). There may be a new feature or two, depending on the state of the underlying software, WordPress, and its available enhancements. Advertising may or may not regain the prominence it had in previous incarnations of the site. It’s all being mulled over…
Before taking any action, PervScan would like to ask you if there are any changes you would like to see. Is there anything that would improve your experience of the site? Does the design matter much to you? How many people read via RSS? Would you enjoy a contribution from an occasional guest blogger, or do you prefer the blog entries the way they are? How do you feel about advertising on the site? (Surprisingly, PervScan has actually received some negative feedback for removing most of it.) How would you feel about text ads in the RSS feed? Are there other blogs that you read regularly? What do you like about those other blogs — the content, the look, the functionality? Anything else?
Many thanks, and here’s looking forward to yet another year of degeneracy.
Four years?! Wow, that is an eternity on the internet, and says something about the quality of the site and the writing.
Happy blogversary, and many more.
All I can say is happy fourth birthday. I can’t make any suggestions since this is already one of the best blogs on the web – how to improve it?
Cheers
happy 4th birthday pervscan and thankyou for all the quality and depraved perversity reported on this blog.
and a big thankyou to supervert who is the mastermind and genious behind pervscan.
keep up the good work. :-)
how do you submit links ????
and guest bloggers would be cool. :)
Thanks for the love, folks, but please don’t feel shy about suggesting improvements. Especially interesting would be to know what other sites you read.
You can submit a link by pasting it into an email using the Contact form. (See above.) Since there are currently 3 posts per week, obviously not all links get used.
PervScan….Happy Birthday to you….
Thanks for the “really big shew”….of presenting all the different perversions, “Wow! (so many?) thank yew”
An opportunity to read about Beastality and fetishes and S&M and transvestites and self mutulations just to name a few….
They’ve all been great to read and (with others) share a view…So keep up the excellent stories..and the excellent revues…
I like to read them thoroughly, through and through…and ponder their significance to me…and the rest of the world..tee hee!
Ending this comment, I’d like to state…”Man! …I’ts crazy out there but PervScan keeps me up to date!
Furpo is the fuckin man! He just referred me to this site and you can guarantee I’ll be back! :)
hmmmmmmmmmmm a birthday and to think i didnt even get ya a card damn me lol
Thanks again “youse guys” for the great website….believe it or not I actually do have a real job! but when scaning my favorite websites, PervScan is always my first stop when traveling the internet highway….there’s always something interesting to read, whether it’s the articles or the comments from other readers…
Thinking back….what were some of the memorable stories that PervScan has presented for it’s readers? What was/were the stories that made my day? There have been so many….
I’ll never forget “Man Dies after Sex with Horse” (07.20.05) for starts….
Only improvement I would make is bringing back pervscan.tv and focusing heavily on getting real content for it. At the end of the day, the most important thing about pervscan.com is the process of learning about the sick and deviant world we live in. The design, layout, etc are all secondary.
However, maybe pervscan should get involved in creating some front page news, possibly by hiring the deviant’s amongst the readers to get out there and commit crime!
Guest blogging is a good idea, especially for the more regular commenters, like intothewind and ladycara.
Roll on another year of bukkake horse sex sodomy.
“Man dies after sex with horse” was probably the most prominent “deviance in the news” story to occur since PervScan’s inception. There is now a documentary film about it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoo_%28film%29
The two stories about guys having sex with dead animals were also particularly memorable. Horse sex may be scandalous, but you can kind of imagine why the guy found it appealing. Having sex with a dead dog or deer is of an entirely different order. It’s very hard to grok.
PervScan.tv was a good idea but the implementation was totally wrong, which is why it was taken offline about two months ago. For now it’s on the backburner, but ultimately the goal is to bring it back. Peter, what would you consider “real” content?
Happy birthday PervScan!
yay! happy happy birthday PervScan! it’s late here in Babylon on the Spree but i will think up some suggestions as i drop off to sleep and get them to you soon…. as we said about richard nixon….four more years! four more years! oh…wait….
would it be good to have a messageboard? i’m just wondering. i post on a lot of messageboards, but i don’t have a blog and i don’t post on blogs, typically.
the problem with a messageboard is that things could turn ugly, get personal. here we’re all replying to a news entry rather than the person posting. i’ve seen things get ugly on enough boards created around topics that are less sensitive.
also, i suppose that there are other messageboards one could go to. it just seems like pervscan attracts the type of people i’d want to engage on these topics.
The idea of adding a forum or message board is intriguing. However, it would require a huge increase in maintenance, monitoring, and potential liability.
For example, “things turning ugly” are less worrisome than people posting links to illegal pornography. This sort of behavior puts the site itself at risk. Consequently, the rewards of a forum haven’t seemed worth taking the risks — particularly since the comments of every post are something of a mini-forum anyway.
Thanks for the suggestion, though. It’s an idea we’ve certainly thought about and probably will continue to entertain from time to time.
