S&M Investors
It’s not unusual to hear a professional dominatrix speak of her wealthy clientele, nouveau riche types who blow their stock dividends on spanking sessions or nipple torture. But here’s the opposite: not a wealthy person looking for some S&M fun, but someone with S&M fun looking for capital.
I am an indie filmmaker in San Francisco. I have written a sort of mainstream script that has a strong S&M feel to the story. I have a name-recognized cast and a fairly famous musician attached to the film right now. I have some investors and am still looking for other investors to contribute to this sexy/controversial love story/thriller. I thought if I looked toward the industry (S&M) that the story line is based perhaps I could find investors that weren’t afraid of such a controversial story line. Was wondering if you had any suggestions on how I might go about this? Thank you for your time.
Somewhere out there in the cyber-wilderness there must be venture capitalists who like S&M adventure. Or maybe there are some pain freaks looking for a tax shelter? (Of course, any experience with the IRS is more painful than the “alternative” play you might receive in a house of domination. Spank me, Lord, beat me with a whip, just please don’t audit me. Welts and bruises are nothing in comparison to the merciless scrutiny of the Man in the Blue Suit.)
