Strippers Punished for Spanking Birthday Boy
“Three dancers and two employees at a Jacksonville strip club have pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, ending a case in which a patron filed a complaint after he was spanked with a big wooden paddle on his birthday. Pulaski County District Judge Wayne Gruber dismissed second-degree battery charges against the dancers. They were charged with the two employees after a trucker from Bald Knob was spanked and bruised. Charlene Smith, 23, of Ward, Lisa Nolen, 23, of Cabot, and Kelly Eslick, 21, of Jacksonville, were fined $100 each during the Monday hearing, along with Sensations Night Club employees James Daugherty, 31, of Jacksonville, and Dena Mitchell, 30, of Sherwood. Gruber ordered the paddle destroyed so it is not sold for a profit. Prosecutors expressed concern that the paddle could be sold in an online auction. The wooden paddle was 18 inches long, drilled with holes and was inscribed with the stage name of the woman who wielded it, ‘Velvet.’ Officials said Eslick spanked the trucker, Keith Lowery, 31. Authorities said the club has stopped the birthday spankings, which had cost $25. ‘We suggest cake and ice cream parties for birthdays in the future,’ Prosecutor Larry Jegley said.” —The Modesto Bee (US)
This case first made a splash when Mr. Lowery filed his charges against the nightclub. Thesmokinggun.com has the mug shot of the girls and the sherrif’s report.
There was a fair amount of “he-said she-said” behind the case. Mr. Lowery claimed that “it took me five days before I could sit down. My whole backside is bruised. It looked like blood splatters. They thought it was funny. I didn’t think it was too damn funny.” In contrast, club employees claimed that Mr. Lowery seemed to enjoy his party. One said that Lowery was “running around, carrying on, sticking his rear end out.” Afterward, he “continued to hang around. He and his friend even continued to tip the girls after he was whipped. I can’t see that he was degraded if he stayed in our bar and continued to tip the girls.”
Honestly, it sounds as though both parties are telling the truth: probably Mr. Lowery had a great time, and when he woke up the next morning he probably did discover that he had bruises. (PervScan was unable to determine if Mr. Lowery is married. Might his lawsuit have something to do with a disgruntled Mrs. Lowery?) If both parties are telling the truth, though, the question becomes this: Is the club really liable for the consequences of an activity to which the patron submitted with glee? It doesn’t sound as though the spanking went too far. It’s not like they tore the flesh from his ass with a cudgel. They spanked him. He taunted them. They spanked him some more. It’s good fun all around.
All of which leaves you thinking that Mr. Lowery would have done well to abide by the old cliché, “When you sleep with snakes, expect to get bitten.” When you let half a dozen strippers spank you with a paddle, expect to be sore the next day.
Considering americans is known for suing MacD for the coffey being hot, I can’t say I’m surpriced. But if the person from the club is saying the truth about the man’s behavior, he was obviously just getting what he asked for. And it’s kinda stupid to have the girl pay for something the man obviously agreed to and liked, just because he regretted it when he woke up from his drunken stupor.
The woman who sued McDonalds only wanted her medical bills paid to have her labia fixed–the coffee was so hot it fused them to her leg.
