“A consultant with a Government-backed business enterprise trust has quit — after her sex shame secret was exposed. For months, mum Kay Herbert has been posting a range of pictures of herself posing in stockings and suspenders on a sex website. But an anonymous tip-off to her bosses led to an investigation into her internet activities. No evidence was uncovered of a misuse of computers but Herbert was confronted about her web page performances. She immediately tendered her resignation from her job as a business adviser with Aberdeenshire’s Enterprise North East Trust… Herbert was highly regarded in her role helping fledgling businesses. Based at Riverview Business Centre in Aberdeen, she was a key player in the trust’s Business Gateway courses which are fully funded by Scottish Enterprise. But away from her work she delighted in baring her breasts and private parts and talking about her fantasies about group sex. Herbert, 48, appeared on a website for ‘naughty Scottish big beautiful women’. Her description of herself says: ‘I don’t take myself too seriously, I enjoy a laugh and do have a wicked sense of humour.’ She was delighted that people enjoyed looking at her photographs on the web. She said: ‘Oh I love it. Compliments always gratefully received.’ Herbert claimed she wanted to have sex in a private box at the theatre or outdoors in the rain. And she also said she liked watching others having sex, sharing, and said she was eager for sex with two’bi-curious guys’. Some research first: here is a picture of Ms. Herbert from her professional profile. Her employer removed her primary profile page, but there’s still another profile online and also Google’s cache of the primary one. So far as her nude photos go, PervScan has not been able to locate them (yet). The guess is that she posted them to a site called, appropriately enough, naughtyscottishbbw.com. The site’s been taken down, however. Perhaps there was too much unwanted attention as a result of this newspaper article? Be that as it may, here’s a picture of the splash page and Google’s cache of the interface. The site seemed to be a front for a Yahoo group which PervScan is trying to join. Perhaps we’ll get some pictures later.

All that being said, it’s outrageous that this poor lady should have been pushed into quitting her job and publicly humiliated in the newspaper. She posted some nude photographs of herself and some fantasies to a web site where that behavior is entirely appropriate. So what? How does that impact on her ability to do her job? Unlike a lot of idiots, she didn’t even use the computers at her office to engage in her “illicit” activity. Her employers could not use that as grounds for a complaint. What business did they even have confronting her about it? The more you think about it, the more you can only guess that some coworkers — who already held a grudge or who disliked her for some reason — brought these pictures to the attention of her bosses, who decided to use them as a way to leverage her out of the business.

That’s the only thing scandalous about this story — not that Ms. Herbert posted nude photos of herself, but that her employers and the local newspaper humiliated someone who’d done absolutely nothing wrong.
