Pedophile Hanged in Iran
Normally PervScan doesn’t link to other blog sites, preferring instead to base its own stories on articles featured in “legitimate” news sites. (Yes, yes, the difference between the two is collapsing…) Nevertheless, last week PervScan reader Nancy sent in a link to an item posted on InternetHumorSucks. Evidently this site really does think that net humor sucks, because the item wasn’t funny at all. To the contrary, it featured a series of photos of a young man being hanged in Iran for sex crimes committed against a score of young children. Beware: the photos are quite explicit, so don’t go look unless you really want to see a guy get flogged, stoned, and hung from a crane.
Unfortunately, InternetHumorSucks didn’t post the source for the story, and this sent PervScan on a quixotic hunt for further information. The pictures themselves came from the Fars News Agency, and one of the photographers actually seems to have a photo blog. However, this doesn’t feature any further pictures of the hanging.
In short, PervScan was unable to find any information about the story beyond what InternetHumorSucks posted. In a certain respect, however, it might well be symbolic that these photos present themselves as anonymous depictions of how Iran treats a sex criminal — because this is, in fact, how Iran deals with them. If you want to be a pervert in Iran, you can only do so at the risk of your life. Just last month, a young man named Esmail Hashemi was convicted of rape and sentenced to die in a public hanging. Last spring there was a case similar to the one at InternetHumorSucks in which a man together with his teenage son were convicted of abducting and raping some forty schoolgirls. The father was hanged, but the son was spared owing to “ambiguities” in his age at the time of the crimes.
And you don’t have to be a pedophile or a rapist to get yourself hanged. In sending the link, Nancy remarked that this is also how Iran treats shoplifters — which is only a slight exaggeration. For example, Iran also hangs gays. Lately it’s become so frequent that some are wondering if there is an anti-homosexual campaign in the the country. In a way, it serves as a good reminder of how far gays have progressed in social standing here in America. It wasn’t long ago that we too considered gays the equivalent of rapists and child molestors.
While most here probably think it’s going much too far to execute homosexuals, probably no small few of you think that it’s not going too far to treat child molestors or rapists the same. Would a few highly visible executions have a deterrent effect on the proliferation of sex crimes against children? Should Joseph Edward Duncan — the convicted sex offender who kidnapped Shasta Groene and her brother, killed their family, and tortured both children — be sodomized with a poison-tipped arrow on national television? Would that send a message to other victimizers?
It’s tough to say. Obviously it poses an intimidating image to would-be sex criminals. Conversely, it’s also worth bearing in mind that brutally repressive cultures such as Islamic Iran often encourage abuse in insidious ways. For example, the punishments are so dire and the consequences so severe that it can make victims afraid to speak out, particularly when victimizers are blood relations. You have to sympathize with the plight of a young girl who figures it’s more tolerable to live with abuse than to shame an entire family or to risk having a brother / uncle / father executed in public.
And to look at the matter from yet another perspective, you have to wonder about the bloodlust that people display when they attend a public execution with the same gusto that Americans display at the Super Bowl. Which is the baser urge — the desire to grope a pretty young girl? Or the desire to hit a sex offender in the head with a rock and then see him hang by the neck from a crane? Hell, according to InternetHumorSucks, people were even taking potshots at the guy’s dead body while it was still hanging in the air. Is that justice? Or is that just brutality?

A pedophile who kills…should be put to death. In fact, anyone who kills another deliberately in circumstances other than self defense or the defence of ones home and family (or society) should be KILLED!
But this is also a country that kills men for stealing to feed their families, stones women to death for BEING ACCUSED of adultry (which doen’t HAVE to be proven), and which a man can have another man’s penis cut off and strangle his daughter to death if they have consentual sex before marriage! –A society in which that very father can arrange to have the daughter married against her will to some rich old fuck she will never love, even!
We live in a cold, bloodthirsty world, brutally repressed in places, and we’re dying to see more–literally! I believe rapists and child murders are a DIRECT result of society’s puritanical attempt to repress “dirty” sexual drives. Instead, our need for steam release is diverted to violent persuits–dangerous sports, drugs and alcohol abuse, bar fights and gang violence, and–oh, yes–rape and murder. The adrenaline MUST flow. If it doesn’t come out during sex, as our bodies are designed for, it will come out in less healthy ways. These Iranians turn out in droves to watch people die, and even go out of the way to participate! Doesn’t it make sense that there’ll be alot less killing if we’re all too spent in sexual pursuits to engage in violent crimes?
Yes, it is extremely true, that whatever energy not used in sex, gets used up in violence, and other ways, such as, oh, I don’t know,…gluttony! Yes, that is true, the body constantly needs some release of tension. When I am stressed out, many times I eat. Anyway, I digress, I’m on a tangent. The point I am trying to make is in agreement to your point. If society did relieve itself more sexually, we would be as you say more spent in sexual activities.
I think those laws of intercourse in certain states, that state that some sexual positions between two consenting adults is illegal, are stupid! If a couple did not think of those laws, and did not get so hung up on when to do it, or when not to do it, and were more honest with their sexual desires and fantacies, then maybe this world would be a more relaxed place. If there was not so much fanaticism about this sort of thing, the world WOULD be a better place to live!
But pedophiles and child abuse should remain outlawed, and pedophiles should be executed publicly. Pedophilia is an unnaceptable use of the sexual drive.
Pedophiles in CONSENSUAL relationships should have the same rights as gays and homosexual. There is no point in saying that some sexuality is “sick” and “perverted” and some other is “ok” and “fine”. Why should gays and homosexuals be treated like human beings while pedophiles are regarded as “monsters”. Why haven’t progressed a little thing in the social acceptance of pedophiles in our society. Rape should still be rape, but CONSENSUAL sex is not bad.
