Yet another episode in the year-long barrage of bestiality stories. You know how different sorts of endeavors have their own forms of journalism? There are political pundits to cover the White House, sports writers to cover the World Series, columnists to offer opinions on assorted topics of the day. Well, if this bestiality spree keeps up, maybe some new mutant form of journalism will arise that’s dedicated exclusively to the reportage of sexual acts between humans and animals. You’ll open up the paper to check the latest odds on the horse races, and right between that and the automobile classifieds there will be a little section dedicated to bestiality. Why not? A lot of papers already have relationship columnists. If people continue to have relations with animals, perhaps newspapers will have to respond with columns dedicated to these “unnatural” — but increasingly common? or increasingly visible? — relationships.
