Bunny Bugger
“Brendan McMahon could be a model for the sensitive New Age guy. He says he sponsors eight children in Guatemala, is a long-term member of the NSW Art Gallery Society and a successful financier. He even claims he was voted bachelor of the year in 1998. But the New Zealand-born man has now been charged with bestiality and animal cruelty. Police allege that McMahon, 36, of North Sydney, had sexual relations with one of 18 rabbits whose mutilated carcasses have been dumped in the city over the past three weeks… The investigation began after skinned and partially skinned dead and dying rabbits began to appear in a lane off York Street, near Circular Quay, late last month. Police also found a dead guinea pig. The lane adjoined a building in which McMahon allegedly occupied a first-floor office… McMahon was charged with 18 counts of committing acts of aggravated cruelty on 18 rabbits between July 20 and August 11. He was also charged with committing an act of bestiality with a rabbit on August 1 between 3am and 4am.” —Sydney Morning Herald (Australia)

If you’re a regular reader of PervScan, you’re well aware that over the last year there has been an amazing run of bestiality stories. Are the media just more interested in bestiality now, picking up the stories and propagating them across blogs and “news of the bizarre” sites? Are people really having more sex with animals these days? If so, what could possibly inspire such a wave of weirdness? Or is it the opposite — have people become so distant from nature that acts of bestiality are actually rarer and therefore more newsworthy? It’s tough to say, but you know how the Chinese designate each year in honor of an animal? Last year was the Year of the Monkey. This year is the Year of the Rooster — but it’s hard not to suspect that, in all actuality, it’s the Year of the Zoophile.
Anyway, so Mr. McMahon is a bunny bugger. According to another newspaper, the scratches on his face helped give him away. “On Thursday night, staff at Pets on Broadway, at the top of Sydney’s George St, recognised McMahon from his description when he entered the store. Manager Ingrid Clancy said McMahon ‘was wearing dark glasses and it was late night shopping and he had scratches down his face. When you work in the pet industry you know what animal scratches look like.’ Clancy said McMahon then asked for three rabbits. She said a staff member phoned the RSPCA and asked what to do. They said not to sell them to McMahon. ‘We just said they (the rabbits) were sick,’ said Clancy.” Naturally that didn’t stop the man from buying rabbits elsewhere. But apparently the folks at the next pet store didn’t recognize the warning signs — a man with scratches and dark glasses trolling pet shops late at night.
Obviously the guy had developed a sort of problem. But at least you can make out where he was coming from. A bunny is soft, furry, inviting, pleasant to the touch. You might find it exciting to feel a rabbit-fur coat against your naked skin, so maybe you can understand how a guy might get excited by the genuine article. At least he’s not like the guy who wanted to be sodomized by a horse, whose psychology is much more difficult to comprehend. Who wants to have a cock the size of a man’s arm rammed into his body? Then again, though the horse-fucker might seem more repellent, consider this: the horse-fucker didn’t actually hurt the horse, though the horse happened to kill him; conversely, the bunny-bugger apparently liked to kill and perhaps torture his little furry friends while getting off on them. Consequently, though the horse-fucker may seem more outré, did he really not treat his desiderata with more respect than the bunny-bugger? Is it not more moral to allow a horse to fuck you than it is to ruin the rectum of a rabbit?
Getting Your Rocks Off Bugs-Bunny? You’re Off Your Rocker. – As Many Anti-Furries And Anti-Zoos say.
Why does furry always have to be mentioned.
Ill say it once, Ill say it a million times, furry is not zoophilia.
Because…either way you’re sexualizing animals? Just a shot in the dark here.
