Mortuary Sex Horror

“Western Cape police are investigating an allegation of sex with a corpse at Salt River Mortuary, and the amputation and theft of a foot from another body. And a reliable mortuary source said the sexual assault on a young male was ‘just the tip of the iceberg’ and ’several more young male corpses have been violated’… The alarm was raised after police staff at the Durham Road mortuary found that the body of a young suicide victim had been sodomised last month. Then the foot was sawn off the body of a man who died in a southern suburbs road accident at the weekend. It is still missing. Investigators are focusing their inquiries on staff at the morgue, but they have not ruled out the possibility that the suspect or suspects could have been visitors — civilians or even police from other units… He said that in the other case the victim’s family would be contacted after police had established ‘beyond all reasonable doubt’ that the corpse had been sodomised ‘post mortem’.” —Independent Online (South Africa)

If necrophilia is one of the rarer perversions, it is probably because the average person does not have much access to dead bodies. Think about it. Dead bodies are given practically the same level of security normally reserved for national politicians. A person dies in a hospital and, from there on out, nobody is really left alone with the cadaver. A grieving family member might get a few moments. A lone orderly might shlep a body down a freight elevator. For the most part, though, there are relatively few opportunities for “normal” people to be alone with a dead body — not that “normal” people would think of sodomizing one anyway.

The exception, of course, is for that small segment of people who happen to work with dead bodies. Morgue attendants, security guards in funeral parlors — folks like these are the ones for whom, so to speak, opportunity knocks. Which leads to an interesting question. Setting aside the fact that necrophiliac crimes are thought to be underreported (what funeral parlor wants that news hitting the press?), it should be possible to determine the percentage with which death workers commit necrophiliac acts. Say one out of every million morgue workers jerks off on the tits of a cheerleader killed in a car accident. Would that imply that necrophiliac impulses really afflict one out of every million people? And that therefore, out there among the lawyers and accountants and bank clerks of the world, every one in a million of them is a latent necrophile frustrated at his lack of access to dead bodies?

And then there are those that roleplay necro – one partner plays limp, sometimes even taking cold showers or laying ice to simulate decreased body temperature, etc.

For most people who do this it’s probably about being horny for the fact that she’s a hot cheerleader than that she’s dead, so they would not be really a necrophiliac. Plus I imagine that more than 1 in a million people would jerk off on a cheerleader’s tits when the opportunity arose, dead or alive :P
