Yet another episode in the recent spate of bestiality arrests. What can you say about a septuagenarian relieving himself with a golden retriever? Probably he’ll make some sort of Alzheimer’s defense, claiming that the impairments of old age ruined his good judgement and prevented him from understanding the awful thing he was doing to his pet dog.
Perhaps the most interesting part of the story is the fact that the perp’s own relative turned him into the police. On one hand, it seems like a ratty, stool-pigeon sort of thing to do. When you catch grampa stupping a mutt, should you call the cops on him? Should you send him for therapy? Should you just turn a blind eye? Is it your business at all?
On the other hand, you have to sympathize with anyone who discovers an old man fucking a golden retriever. It’s not the sort of thing most people want to see in their lifetime. It could leave a rather horrible memory — a wrinkly old cock pressed up against the orange-brown fur of the dog — lodged in somebody’s head. Maybe that’s the real nature of the crime here: it’s less a matter of violating the body of the dog than of violating the mind of the person who stumbles onto the lurid scene.

The real question is why they didn’t get the dog a new home after the first time….

Although i feel a bit sorry for the old boy i have to think about the poor dog, this is wrong people. WRONG!
Lock him up and tell the other inmates what he’s locked up FOR. Then he’ll get to experience the “joy” his dog has repeatedly experienced.
His family could use the arrest to have him declared insane, and then take his property… obvious at 78 he is physically healthy and active, so the kids might resent that he is blowing the family fortune on jeweled collars for his mistress.
You know, when you cause pain to a Dog they bite and claw….. Obviously if the dog, a large dog at that, wasn’t feeling pain or anything.. Otherwise the man would have been bitten the first time.
