Japan Women Get Own Subway Cars
“Tokyo has began its first women-only subway car during the morning rush hour in a bid to crack down on groping, which is rampant on the Japanese capital’s crowded trains. The special carriage, which started operating on Monday, runs from 7.30am to 9.30am on the Saikyo Line. This line does a loop around Tokyo and is notorious for groping due to the relatively long distance between stations. A women’s car during evening rush hour has been in operation since July 2002 on the Saikyo Line, whose stops include Japan’s busiest station Shinjuku, the entertainment district of Shibuya and central Tokyo Station. There have been a lot of articles lately discussing the “demographic disaster” in Japan — the birthrate declining sharply, virgin wives stuck in sexless marriages, a general antipathy toward lovemaking spreading across the land. Contrary to what these articles have been stating, however, PervScan has suspected all along that this is not a trend toward celibacy and sexlessness but rather a move toward alternative forms of sexuality, albeit ones that may be less reproductive and even less interpersonal than the ones that predominated in the past.
And this latest story about Japanese women getting their own subway cars just proves the point. Sex may be down, but groping is up. If there were the libidinal equivalent of the Gross National Product — the Gross National Libido? — it would probably be about the same as before. Apparently it’s just getting channeled into different directions, such as groping, internet pornography, prostitution, etc. The ones who are left out of this new sexual economy — wives, mostly — are like people left unemployed by advances in technology or workplace productivity. But like unemployed workers, these women will find their way back into the sexual economy sooner or later. Does the latest porn fad for MILFs — Mothers I’d Love to Fuck — not suggest an increasing awareness of the libidinal potential of the new sexual underclass in Japan? While the hot chicks separate themselves on their own subway cars, Japanese MILFs will be soaking up the action on the co-ed cars. Why not? It must be better to get groped than to get no action at all.
