Andrew Marsh, 45, had been spared jail when a judge ordered him to do 200 hours service for credit card fraud. He was sent to the primary school near his home in Ashford, Kent, as a classroom assistant. Marsh was arrested after five pupils aged between eight and nine said he had abused them. Evidently this guy is some kind of opportunistic creep. Whatever circumstances you throw his way, he’ll make the worst of them. Send him to school and he abuses the children. (Probably he put bubblegum in little girls’ hair too.) Now send him to jail and no doubt he’ll find opportunities to make mischief among the inmates. He’ll ejaculate on his cellmates when they’re asleep. Big macho murderers will have to go to the warden to complain that in the mornings the sand man is leaving something other than sand in their eyes.

An opportunistic creep, a man who scavenges the landscape to find occasions for evil, is hard to deal with institutionally. Where do they send him after he makes a nuisance of himself in jail? The psych ward? But he’ll only goose the loonies. Solitary confinement? But even there he’ll probably abuse himself… They don’t call it the “solitary vice” for nothing.
