You can feel sympathy for a guy stuck in the hospital suffering from fractures and loneliness — but all the same, what an idiot! If you give a prostitute your bank card, she is going to withdraw the maximum. You can’t expect anything else. That’s not to say that nice girls never turn tricks, or that prostitutes can’t be honest or honorable people. But a girl who is so strapped for cash that she’ll traipse out to the hospital to hump the bedridden is obviously going to have few qualms about maxing out a bank card. It’s hard to blame her, really. She is accustomed to wheedling money out of johns anyway. And to give her your bank card is such an obviously stupid thing that she probably feels perfectly justified giving herself a thousand percent tip. It’s not she who is being dishonest, she must think, but rather the john who is asking for it.
