Death at the Pumping Party
“A man faces a murder charge for a death during a ‘pumping party,’ where industrial-grade silicone was injected into the victim’s body as a cosmetic procedure… The victim, Andre Jeter of Alabama, experienced convulsions and fell into a coma December 10th after getting the injections into his face and chest during a pumping party in Albany. The chief investigator for the district attorney, James Paulk, said Jeter died a month later from multi-organ and respiratory failure. The procedure used the type of silicone sold in hardware stores as a sealant and is not sterile. Once it enters the body, it causes infections, particularly in the lungs… Thomas [the perpetrator] was believed to be traveling around the region, working on transgender women, especially those who compete in elaborate beauty pageants… Silicone pumping has long been a problem in the transgender community, where it is seen as a cheap and secret way to appear more feminine.” — WATE (US)

It’s really astonishing — and also a little bit sad — to see the lengths people will go in order to effectuate a change in their appearance. It’s bad enough that some women feel the need to get fake tits. However good they look, silicone implants don’t feel very nice, and the complications of plastic surgery are often unpleasant. Just ask any girl who’s ended up with permanently numb nipples.
If you find fake tits lamentable, though, imagine the plight of guys who want so badly to be female that they perform do-it-yourself breast enlargements with a substance that’s about as sanitary as axle grease. Egad! It’s like being so hungry that you’d eat dog poop.
Apparently there are transgender support groups that are putting out the message that these pumping parties are dangerous. But probably the poor guys know that already. They’re like baseball players who take steroids, fully aware of the insane physical complications, just to have their moment of glory. One guy is willing to take the risk in order to be a home-run king, another guy to be a homecoming queen.
