Evidently a guy who severs his penis and runs down the street screaming “Repent, fornicators!” wants to be a symbol of some kind. He wants to shock people into acknowledging his message, which is that sex is sinful. And yet you have to hope that this guy doesn’t work for a marketing firm, because obviously he’s not choosing the best method for putting his message across. No one who sees him stops and thinks, “My God! He’s right! Sex is bad! I must cease and desist from all humping and banging!” To the contrary, anyone who sees him thinks, “My God! Look at what that crazy fucker did to himself! Hope they get him to the psych ward before he hurts anyone else!”
In other words, there is a big gap between the message he wants to send and the message people end up receiving. As a result, the guy totally wasted his castration. It’s too bad, because if he was willing to lose his penis for the purposes of propaganda, he really could have gone about it more sensibly. Suppose he deliberately infected himself with a flesh-eating venereal disease and then went around displaying the sores on his penis — that might have actually caused a person or two to repent fornication. A diseased penis really says, “Look at what sex can do to you,” whereas a self-amputated one only says, “Look at what insanity can do…”
This just illustrates what religion can do to an otherwise ‘normal’ mind. I am so tired of hearing, “forsake life for the life after death.” . . . yeah right
Im so sick of the jesus freaks, who go around yelling repent or be exterminated. I am a christian myself, but im no “jesus freak” i define jesus freak as that dude up there, not a casual churchgoer like me
