Black Magic Sex Murder

“Two Hong Kong girls were allegedly killed and then raped as part of a black magic ritual to create ghosts to torment their killer’s wife… The girls, aged one and 11, were allegedly snatched within two weeks of each other by father-of-three Duong Vinh Cuong after his wife walked out on him.. Duong, who claimed to have learned black magic in Thailand, apparently later admitted to police that he killed the girls then raped them as part of an occult ritual to make them related to him by blood, the court heard. He apparently smothered them to death with pillows, believing their deaths would unleash ghosts to take revenge on his wife for leaving him.” — Independent Online (South Africa)

If you’re emotionally unstable and happen to be studying the dark arts, you would do well to abide by a simple rule of thumb: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If some ritual gives you a rationale — it’s hard to put any word remotely resembling “rationality” in the same sentence as “ritual” — for cavorting with nubile young females and tormenting your estranged wife at the same time, it’s probably too good to be true. Life doesn’t work like that. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Don’t be surprised when you end up in the slammer on account of the young girls, and don’t be surprised if your estranged spouse relishes every second of your distress.

And here’s a second rule of thumb: you may think that killing and then raping the tiny cadaver of a one-year-old is really the way to put the black in the magic, but at the same time it’s also a pretty sure way to set yourself up for some very serious jail time, if not the death penalty. Unless those ghosts can take a break from tormenting your wife to help you engineer a jailbreak, or unless you’re armed with a mysterious get-out-of-jail spell, you’d be wise to consider a little white magic — or maybe just some psychotherapy — instead.

People, who believe in imaginary people…
Are the wackiest, most dangerous people in…
In the world…

It’s amazing how news outlets just take this kind of thing and run with it without asking any questions or providing any useful information.

He learned the ‘black magic’ ritual in Thailand. That’s so vague. Is there a book in Thialand detailing such a ritual? Black magic meaning what, exactly? Was he conjuring a Judeo-Christian Devil (Christianity is worldwide now, so that’s certainly possible) or some pagan, localized “evil spirits”. Did he learn ‘black magic’ from a Hammer film dubbed in Thai, or did he learn it from people in Thailand who actually perform such rituals and advocate smothering people – in which case, wouldn’t the authorities want to look into this?

Inquiring minds want to know…

Sounds like another case of a crazy MF saying “the Devil made me do it”, and the media, authorities, etc. saying – “oh, well THAT explains it.”
