You can imagine how traumatic this must also have been for the thirteen-year-old girl caring for the horse. At that age, you don’t typically conceive of the universe as a place where such acts of utterly wanton depravity occur. After all, that’s a pretty twisted kick — to fuck a horse so brutally with a stick that it needs surgery. Bestiality is typically defined as the intercourse between man and beast, or as a man’s unnatural love for animals. But these definitions hardly seem appropriate to describe what happened to poor Rosie the horse, since in this case the perpetrator was more bestial than the victim, and his actions express far less love than hatred for animals.
