“A Salvation Army bell ringer is charged in the rape of a woman who says she was attacked in a bathroom at a local shopping mall. The man who’s charged is a registered sex offender. Police say the incident happened Tuesday afternoon at Waco’s Richland Mall where a 19 year old woman was grabbed and forced inside by a man who said he would kill her if she screamed. Police say she was raped in a mall bathroom. Salvation Army bell ringer, James Allen Grinstead, 22, is in the Mclennan County jail charged with aggravated sexual assault. It’s fun to make jokes about Bad Santa, about child molestors inhabiting the jolly red costume in order to grope the little children who come sit on their laps in the local shopping mall. But the holidays can also bring out other perverts as well. You never quite know what rapes might be committed in the shadow of Christmas trees — moms, check your daughters’ panties for tinsel — or how many nice Jewish girls might be sodomized with a Hanukkah menorah. And no doubt Bad Santa is in league with these Salvation Army bell ringers too. When these good-for-nothing ding-a-lingers are not spending your spare change on crack and hookers, they probably use the bells to send secret signals, Morse Code. Ding, ding, ding-a-ding-ding means “Cover me, I’m raping somebody in the john.”
You do have to wonder, though. When these bell ringers threaten to kill a girl if she doesn’t submit, what exactly do they say? “Blow me or I’ll beat you in the head with my bell?”
P.S. This is yet another instance of a useless online sex register. The perp was a registered sex offender, and the reporters were easily able to find him on the local online register. But did the Salvation Army bother to check it when hiring their holiday workers? Nope…
