WiFi Kiddie Porn

“A man caught driving naked from the waist down while watching kiddie porn on his laptop computer has become the first man in Toronto charged with allegedly stealing an Internet connection. Toronto police laid a theft of communications charge after busting a man driving the wrong way down a one-way street, downloading child porn using stolen wireless Internet signals. The slow moving car was pulled over around 5 a.m. on Wednesday by a police officer who allegedly found the pantsless driver watching a movie of a 10-year-old girl performing fellatio on an adult on his laptop. Police allege the man downloaded the movie using an Internet connection he intercepted from a nearby house. Stealing Internet is becoming more common among perverts trying to avoid online detection.” — Winnipeg Sun (CA)

You read it here first: pervert leeches WiFi connection to download kiddie porn. It is beyond doubt that there will be numerous such cases in the near future. There will be idiots like this guy — whose technological savvy is offset by the sheer stupidity of driving the wrong way down a one-way street, laptop screen glowing with illicit fellatio. If he’d just waited till he went home to jerk off, he might not have been so distracted as to attract the police. And then there will be smarter perverts who obey traffic laws and end up incriminating innocent people — people whose lives will be ruined because they didn’t implement the most basic security precautions on their home networks, and so drive-by deviants stole their bandwidth to download pictures of kids fucking pigs.

If you have a wireless network and you don’t know what a firewall is, let this be your warning.
