You have to wonder if this is the first person ever to receive a life sentence for a foot fetish. Granted, the foot fetish pushed him into a borderline type of child abuse — but isn’t that precisely the point? Shouldn’t there be a distinction between different levels of abuse, and a corresponding distinction for the severity of punishment? If there was really no more sexual contact than the toe-sucking, a modest prison sentence combined with compulsory psychotherapy and an injunction to avoid children might have been a more reasonable punishment. After all, you can rape and sometimes even kill a person and get a lighter sentence than this! Surely those are worse crimes than toe-sucking, even if the victims of this foot fetish were young boys.
Besides, boys often have dirty, stinking feet. They need a good cleaning now and then. And the tongue is such a natural washcloth…
For me, his punishment was very unfair and even so cruel because foot fetish is a healthy and harmless addiction.Instead of punish poor guys like him,the Justice should care about the dangerous criminals such as rippers,robbers,murderers and drug-dealers.
I think it’s outrageuos. No harm came to the boys. In fact, I’m sure they were quite amused at this man sucking on their toes.

He got what he deserved. I am disgusted by reading these postings stating “I think it’s outrageous” or “…his punishment was very unfair…” aren’t thinking about the damage this pervert has done to these children. You have a foot fetish? Fine, take it up with a consenting ADULT not a child that has been placed in your care by trusting parents. It was abuse and he was rightfully charged and committed and I think the laws need to be stricter to save our children. What is wrong with you people?
I feel bad for the poor guy. He should try and appeal the decision. Yes, he should be fired from his job for unprofessional conduct but, not jailed. That’s out crazy. What’s going with our legal system!
LIFE SENTENCE.Thats 30yrs.in a state prison.1st.degree murderers have received less time.The man does need some time;They were very young kids.Perhaps 18 months in the county jail,but my god people, he fondled their feet!
Luckily the guy will be up for parole in 15 years, but still, a life sentence for sucking on kids’ smelly toes is absolutely ludicrous. Other countries look at things like this and wonder if we’ve lost our minds.
There’s no real difference between forcing toe sucking on someone and french kissing them or sucking on their neck. Deep invasion of personal space. You can’t just do whatever you want to somebody else’s kids and expect to not get punished when you break the law.
I can be real open minded but this guy crossed the line.
I’ve heard of many ridiculous sentences in the US, but this one calls for thunders. Just sit down and think clearly: 2 years in jail for this “crime” is a 2 years cut off from the guy’s life. That much more over does his act. 5 years would be an act of terror upon this man. Life sentence? … OMG, is this how law is enforced in the world’s most prominent country???
