Suicide Sex
“A Texas man got 10 years’ probation for offering to strangle a suicidal Wisconsin woman whom he met over the Internet… Houston police arrested Manuel in January, after a woman he met in a suicide chat group reported his offer to strangle her during sex, then bury her in a grave in a state forest with a rose on her chest. The woman, with investigators watching, traveled to Houston on Manuel’s instructions. He was captured at a Houston bus station, awaiting her arrival with a strangling device and yellow roses in his car.” — Yahoo (US)
It is hard to feel that the law is being violated in a case such as this, since it abides quite clearly by the law of supply and demand. Where there is demand — people who want to die — there will be supply, which is what Dr Jack Kevorkian and books such as Final Exit (which gives practical advice on methods of suicide) provide. The entire right-to-die movement can be viewed simply as the supply that has arisen to meet a growing demand to be done with life. And if that’s the case, it is hard to see why suicidal people shouldn’t have the right to engage homicidal people to kill them. It fills a mutual need and, insofar as it might drain off psychopathic energies in the direction of people willing to die anyway, it might even fill a societal need as well. Maybe murderers wouldn’t kill so many people who want to live if they could just hook up on the internet with people who want to die.
There are a lot of different ways encounters between the suicidal and the homicidal could be arranged. The law could simply turn a blind eye, for example, so that sad people and violent people could hook up on their own to do their morbid thing. Or it could be legalized, so that businesses would arise to facilitate the encounters. Perhaps there would be deathly dating services, or maybe suicidal people could auction off their lives on ebay. “Bid to Kill Me.” People with ambivalent feelings could set high reserves on their auctions, so that they wouldn’t throw away their lives for a minimum bid. And just think how grateful heirs would be to the deceased for adding to the value of their estate! Or another possibility would be to stage controlled hunts. A bunch of depressives could be dropped into heavily wooded terrain, then hunters could snoop them out with dogs and shotguns… Then when the hunters bagged their prizes, they could cart them to taxidermists and get gruesome trophies: the stuffed heads of the terminally ill and the manic depressive.
Gee .. that’s what you get these days for trying to be romantic.
I really don’t see why potential suicide victims should not be allowed to be murdered if that is their choice. A person should have a right to decide their own death. If it could be legally proven that they willingly consented to the murder, then I really don’t see a problem with it. It should be considered as justifiable murder. Anyway, I’d be happy to kill them, lol.
different Demon….. Great. I am not for suicide in any way, but if you’re gonna do it, don’t let me know
