Virgin Sacrifice
“A student who backtracked on plans to auction off her virginity has revealed why she gave up on the idea. The girl, who gave her name only as Sandy, says a woman benefactor offered her £1,700 to keep it. Sandy, 21, from Peru, had planned to auction off her virginity on Santiago radio station Radio W to pay for her studies in the Chilean capital.” — Ananova (UK)
Before you lament a world in which the most sacred parts of life have been reduced to the status of eBay collectibles, consider this: why shouldn’t people be allowed to auction off their virginity? Or to be precise, since most men would gladly pay to get rid of theirs, why shouldn’t women be allowed to auction off their virginity? It’s just a little flap of skin, after all, and the joke is more on the buyer than the seller. Deflowering a virgin does not make for particularly good sex: physically it’s awkward and not much “tighter” or more gratifying than sleeping with the most promiscuous slut, which only leaves the mental reward of knowing you were a girl’s first. And what’s so gratifying about that? It amounts to saying a girl will always remember you, and for a quantitative rather than a qualitative act. Wouldn’t you rather be remembered because you were the best, rather than the first?
Maybe in some country where prostitution is legal, they’ll start an eBay for virgins — or maybe even an auction site for sex objects of all kinds. Why not? There are already “escort” sites and auction sites. It’s just a matter of putting the two together to form the Information Age equivalent of a slave market — a sex slave market.
Great commentary. Seems the internet is a wonderful place to buy anything, and I mean anything.
Now I can see all the moral police jumping on the bandwagon of censorship to “protect them, especially children from this fact of life.”
Personally, I think many kids have already checked this out much like they can get music files anytime they want to. Of course the music industry isn’t commenting on how the price of a CD is a total rip-off and I’m sure those who wish to guard our morals won’t comment on how an adult should be able to sell their virginity.
This promises to be rather amusing in a rather dark way. By the way, just what are the sites that allow a person to seel their virginity? Can’t see e-Bay doing that again but I know they made some money off the sale of that UK gal’s cherry.
I would much rather be remembered for being the best, rather than being the first. My ex girlfriend Elizabeth still says that I am the best partner that she has ever had…Thanks Supervert for bringing that question up.
I just would like to say that this article made me think twice, this is really true… would you rather have a girl remember you for you being her first, or would you rather her refer to you as her BEST ever??… something to really think about…
thanks
I, personally, would want to be remembered as the only one in my girl’s life…first, last, best, and -ONLY-. My half-brother has that…both of ‘em were proud enough of their innocense they had it announced at their wedding…neither one of ‘em had ever had sex in their ilves.
I’m proud to be my mate’s first and only, and because of my not being with another female before her, I am specifically made to her specifications, no one else’s
Demon,
Considering people are selling their soul on e-bay, I’m hardly surpriced. xD
I don’t get the point of virginety, but since you only got one of them, why not sell it, and earn some money? If there’s someone who wants to pay ridiculus amount of money for that, the joke is on them, as long as the girl is selling it of her own free will.
